1
Arrive Chennai
Arrive Chennai, the present gateway to the South of India, transfer to
your hotel. Afternoon proceed on a sightseeing tour of the city
visiting the Kapaleshwar Temple, Fort St. George and the Government
Museum. The rest of the evening is at leisure or optionally you may
visit 'Dakshinchitra'. Overnight at the hotel.

2
Chennai – Mahabalipuram – Kanchipuram – Chennai (64 kms / 1-1.5hrs)
Today proceed for a full day excursion to Mahabalipuram &
Kanchipuram. Visit Mahablipuram, an ancient 7th century Pallava port,
also visit the famous shore temples of Mahabalipuram, a perfect example
of Pallavan art of sculpting rocks to build temples without brick,
mortar or timber.
Later proceed to Kanchipuram, visit famous 'kailashnatha Temple' with a
four-storeyed tower and octagonal shikhara is a commendable piece of
creativity. Also famous here are the world-renowned Kanchipuram hand
woven silk & cotton fabrics. Rest of the evening is at leisure for
shopping and individual activities. Overnight at the hotel.

Chennai – Madurai
Transfer to Chennai airport to board your flight for Madurai, one of
South India's great temple towns that has rich cultural heritage passed
on from the great Tamil era more than 2500 years old. Arrive Madurai
and transfer to your hotel.
This afternoon you will proceed for a sightseeing tour of Madurai,
visit the ruins of the Tirumal Nayak Palace and world famous Meenakshi
Temple, the most perfect example of Dravidian architecture. Later this
evening you may revisit the Temple for the evening Aarti ceremony.

Madurai – Thekkady (120 kms / 3-4 hrs)
Early this morning you will be transferred to Thekkady by road. Set in
the heart of the Cardamom Hills of Kerala, is the Periyar National Park
and Tiger Reserve, offering a rare opportunity to enjoy South India's
wild life. Enjoy a boat safari on Periyar Lake to view the varied wild
life of this region. Overnight at the hotel.

Thekkady – Kumarakom (130 kms / 4 hrs)
Today you will be transferred by road to Kumarakom, a charming village
on the Vembanad Lake, en-route stop to see the spice plantations.
Proceed to your island home in time to view the spectacular sunset.

Kumarakom
The day is at leisure to explore the backwaters, known for its small
water canals surrounded by lush green paddy fields and swaying palms or
pamper your-self with an Ayurvedic beauty treatment. Overnight at the

Kumarakom – Kochi (90 kms / 1-1.5 hrs)
Morning transfer by road to Kochi, a gateway to 'God's Own Country.
Arrive and proceed to your hotel. Afternoon visit Jewish Synagogue,
Dutch Palace and the Chinese fishing nets, end your tour with a visit
to a local theatre to witness a Kathakali Dance performance. Overnight
at the hotel.
